Whistle Stop

This morning Sam and I set out to hear Barack Obama speak in our neighborhood with about 7,000 of our neighbors. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was so very moved that at one point I may have had tears in my eyes. I heard about the event yesterday morning, and I felt downright compelled to attend. Regardless of what the future holds for Senator Obama, I am so glad to have heard him speak live. And when Sam is 20, maybe he can pick up sexy politico-chicks by telling them how he saw Obama when he was a little boy.

We're watching the whole proceedings with great interest from down here. It's certainly history in the making.
