Dear Nature, Get Bent! An Update!

Well, it seems like there is a possibility that the car is going to be totalled. The extensive damage to the sun roof mechanics will be very costly to replace. Also, since the entire top of the car is going to have to be sawed off and replaced, if it isn't totalled, it will take five to six weeks to fix. We are pretty unhappy about this, as you can imagine. If the insurance company decides to go ahead and have it fixed, SOB will probably have to rent a car. Since that isn't part of our coverage, we'll have to pay out of pocket for that. We're kind of hoping that they do total it so he can go and buy a new car this weekend.

Also, this morning the cat puked a huge load of just eaten food right in front of me, which caused me to puke. While I was feeding the baby breakfast, no less. Luckily I made it to the sink. Then later on, my usually docile and friendly cat bit the hell of out Sam for no apparent reason. Luckily, he didn't break the skin, but we were all a little upset.

Boo to today.

You're not having a good week, and that makes me sad. There was a woman in the 70s that sued God for being struck with lightning. Maybe you can do that too. (She lost the case, btw.)

Eric and I are cheering for the insurance peeps to total it so we can help Steve pick out a shmancy new ride this weekend!
See you tomorrow and keep your chin up. We'll talk some sense into Simon while we are there too.

Why are you talking about the cat in the present tense? If one of our three animals bites Jake, I will set the distance record for punting an animal . . . into traffic.

Call me when you get a chance, as I have suggestions on how to approach the insurance claim. Used to be an adjuster, don't you know.

Since that was the cat's first offense, he gets a pass. But if it happens again, all bets are off.

We'll give you a ring sometime this weekend when Steve is home, since he's been the one speaking with the insurance folks. Thanks!

When it rains it pours, huh. At least Sam didn't puke too!

Holy Jesus God. Better just sit tight and wait for the plague of locusts...

What a morning!
Have you tried rent a wreck? They are a lot cheaper than regular car rental, and they have good cars.

Well, the insurance did NOT total the car, and now they are having a dispute with the body shop over the cost of the repairs. This is one major cluster fuck.

We will look into the Rent a Wreck, though. Thanks for the tip!
