Tracy over at Picture This has been discussing diagonals this week. I have been trying to sit down and play with this image for a while now, and while I don't love it just yet, it's getting better compared to the origional. When I was little, my mom used to put our shoes on the steps like this when she noticed that our footwear was taking over the living room. Last week when I was cleaning in anticipation of the in-laws, I did the exact same thing without even thinking about it.

I love this image -- all those little shoes! Isn't it amazing/weird/frightening when you find yourself "channeling" your mother? So many things from my childhood are starting to make sense...
