We decided to come home a day early. They closed the pool in the condo community on Tuesday, and we did all the other shit we planned on doing, so we packed everything into the Wagen and hit the road. Since all we wanted to do today was go to the pool, it seemed silly to stick around. We ate at all of my favorite food shacks, spent some time with my brother and took Sam to the beach. He hated it, by the way.
Sam was an absolute angel on the seven hour car trip, which had pluses and minuses. On the upside, our trip was much less painful than it could have been. On the downside, SOB now wants to attempt to drive to Philly in three weeks. The trouble is, our trip to Florida was seven to eight hours. The trip to Philly is eleven to twelve hours. I told SOB before the trip, when he suggested the Philly car ride, that we could talk about it after our Florida trip. Once we got about 40 miles from the ATL, the pressure started. Now I have a few days to come up with a compelling argument against Sam and I participating in the drive. I have no problem with SOB driving up and meeting us there, since it's almost $800 to rent a car for the eight days we'll be there. I'm going to wait a day or two and make this suggestion to him, but I think I'll butter him up with lots of dip, ice cream and blow jobs between now and then. Wish me luck!
Speaking of going down, check out this awesome blog blast that's going down tomorrow.
