Last monday I planted seeds. On friday, several started sprouting! This year we got started earlier, and planted more variety than last year. Three types of tomato, four types of peppers, peas, beans, cucumbers, cantaloupe, tomatillos, three types of squash and corn. Yup, we're those weirdo suburbanites who grow corn in their front yard. That and the six types of hops which will grow upwards of twenty feet. We're planting those in the side of the yard and training them to grow to the roof. And don't forget the apple tree. Thank goodness I found out about Give What You Grow, a program that encourages home gardeners to donate their excesses to local food banks.

Love those sweet little buds.
I hope you're little sprouts turn into some yummy food. :) My mom plants every year and we all love her garden!
I don't like gardening because I have an irrational fear of worms. But my daughter can't wait to do it with my hubby so he's building her a little mine garden. I love the idea of it so I encourage her. Those little beads of water look like diamonds! Nice.
Whenever I see new sprouts I feel almost as joyful as when I gave birth to my children. New life is such a beautiful thing.
Oh, I am so jealous. I haven't started my garden yet. How exciting and it sounds like you guys go all out. The condensation shot is too cool.
Ooooh, the tiny little sprouts are wonderful!! I wish I had some identical ones here. :o) And the dewdrops/diamonds are gorgeous sparkling in the sun.
Isn't it great to see things growing again: I'm definitely ready for spring!
We planted a few little flower seeds last week. It is just so exciting to check in on them each morning to see how they have grown.
Great shots!
Oh yes, those sprouts are magnificent!
I was going to plant over the weekend, but never got around to it. now i'm motivated!
I used those same planter boxes to start my seeds and we just moved them to the garden. I'm hoping we're done with frost and that they do okay. I love the 2nd shot, they look all sparkly and love the little bokeh circles in the background, neat capture!
gorgeous pics aim!
Growing your own food? *grovel grovel* "I am not worthy, I am not worthy!!"
