So I'm in total denial about the fact that my son is on the cusp of turning five. I don't even refer to him as 'four-and-a-half' or anything, because HE IS NOT TURNING FIVE.
However, there has been a recent development that is forcing me to face facts: Sam has a loose tooth!
(That's the one, right there. As if you couldn't tell.)
The wiggling is soooo barely noticeable, but four adults have confirmed that it is indeed moving around in there. He might not even lose it before his birthday, but every day he asks me to check to make sure today isn't going to be the day. He is so excited, and I can't help but get caught up in it, too.
Until I remember that he's going to be five.

what? nooooooo!!
I was just talking to Jake the other day and we were making a list of things that might happen in 2011, and I said that he might lose a tooth, but probably not. But I lost my first tooth at 5, so maybe there's a chance. Yikes.
(ps- I swallowed it and was afraid the fairy would have to dig around in my butt to get it out. And my parents said, "yes, she'll probably have to dig around in your butt, but you'll be sleeping so it will be fine.")
Lora! Your parents are hilarious!!!!
The BA didn't lose her first tooth til she was about 7 which was freaky. I'm sure Sam will take this next step of development in hid stride.
