I Got the Jimmy Legs!

Maybe it's a weird pregnancy thing. Maybe it's because I actually got my ass in gear and went to the gym yesterday. Maybe it's just bad fucking luck.

Last night, mere seconds after I would fall asleep my legs would go crazy and I would wake up. In those sweet snippets of sleep sometimes I would dream that I was running as fast as possible. Other times I would dream that I was walking up an endless flight of stairs. Other times I would dream a phone was ringing and I couldn't find it. In any case, it was torture. Twice I got out of bed to stretch. I did calf, hamstring, quad and glute stretches. Once I just got up and walked around my room a few times. I peed twice, which means I went downstairs and came back up twice. I counted backwards from one thousand by sevens. I even took a benadryl around 1:30. The last time I looked at the clock it was 3:23. I think I fell asleep for real real sometime around then. SOB got up at 5:30 and Sam got up at 6:30.

I've been walking around all day feeling like my brain is made of some sort of soft cheese. I wouldn't be surprised, at this point, to find out that it is made of soft cheese. I bet it would taste good spread on a bagel.

I had that with Jake, the only thing I can recommend is weight exercises and complaining a lot. A lot.

Sounds like a potassium deficiency, you may want to ask the Doc.

Okay, you get my sympathy for the twitchies (Ick! Gah! Que horible!), but the soft cheese brain on a bagle thing? That's just wrong. And thank you very much, I'll be looking twice at soft cheeses from now on.

I read about the potassium, but I take a pre-natal vitamin and also love bananas, so I think it would be pretty hard for me to be deficient. Last night everything was fine. It's only happened to me once or twice. Last night was just the longest (and therefore the most annoying) episode.
