Lately we've been doing a whole lot of nothing. We've all been a little under the weather and I have been sleeping for shit. I fear another bout of insomnia is sitting on my doorstep, waiting to slip in with the cat when Sam opens the door. Today is cloudy and cool and while I tried to take a nap as Lucy sleeps, there is no rest for the weary. Typical.
Since this was the last week of summer, I tried to cram in as many fun outside activities as possible. Unfortunately the general sick-ish-ness made some of the more, well, active activities less than desirable. Sam spent most of his time begging to watch TV. So when it was warm and sunny the other day, I put Lucy down for a nap and dragged him out on the porch for some painting. It was a nice, quiet activity that didn't require a whole ton of energy from either of us.
The fat brush is his favorite...
But the yellow one is a close second!
The finished product now adorns Lucy's wall. Sam couldn't be prouder!

Awww, so sweet that he made it for his baby! A lovely way to spend a lazy afternoon.
Those are great! So glad you've been able to get some idleness in! SOAK IT UP...those moments are usually few and far between!
