Time Traveling

Last week my watch broke. This was my third watch since we've lived here, i.e. less than a year. I took this as a message from the universe, and so I've been going watch-less since then.

Some days I love it. Other days it sucks. This morning I left the house fifteen minutes later than I would have liked. Even though there is a clock in the dining room and another in the kitchen, there is none in the living room which was where the kids were getting dressed. (Don't ask.) But on Tuesday night I had dinner with my cousin and it was so refreshing to sit and enjoy my time with her without checking the time every ten minutes.

I'm going shopping this afternoon, and I'll have the opportunity to buy some new timepiece. If I want to. I might just decide to remain timeless for now.

I'm currently timeless. I go back and forth on this one. I feel like wearing a watch makes me more of a control freak. I feel like not wearing one leaves me helpless.

THe fact that I always carry my cell phone gives me some sort of balance

I haven't worn a watch in YEARS. Yes, I have my cell phone, car clock, computer clock and clocks in just about every room in the house...but it is a bit freeing. Plus I just don't like wearing stuff on my wrists. ;)
