Mischief and Mayhem

Last night was the infamous Mischief Night! In the past, entire sections of Camden were burned to the ground. This year, this was all they could manage.

One measly roll of TP, which looks as though it was tossed from a car. No one else on our street got hit, but I don't mind.

Do you want to know what I do mind, though? Dressing both kids up, getting myself dressed and reasonably presentable, lugging them off in our disaster of a double stroller to Sam's school. Where Sam 100% refused to march in his class parade. Even though he begged me to take him. He even choose the parade over swim class. He cried as soon as I tried to take him out of said stroller.

(By the way, do you know how hard it is to get a jacket on a kid in a spider costume? None of the coats we own have extra arm/leg holes. At least, they didn't when we bought them!)

Lucy, on the other hand, wanted nothing more than to march in the parade. But since she's not an actual student at the school, she wasn't allowed. So she started crying, too.

All of this mayhem and they haven't even had a single piece of candy yet. I fear for myself later in the evening.

Please Mommy, put me back in the stroller!
