Relax the Natural Way

With vacation firmly underway, we've been taking lots of walks. To the park, through the neighborhood, to the other park. Since the kids stagger their school days, on Mondays and Tuesdays we only have one kid. That works out great for me, because SOB pushes the stroller while I snap away. The way I see it, I'm already slowing down from being knocked up, so it's no biggie if I go even slower because I'm busy taking pictures.

I love flowers. My husband doesn't. Why? Because flowers like these make me pine for a lens like this

Water, especially of the babbling brook variety, has always been very calming to me.

Small waterfalls + slow shutter speeds = serenity

And how did we end this idyllic, peaceful scene? By giving my 3-year old permission to traipse across the rock bridge, giving me a heart attack once every time he leapt over the chasms. Relaxing? Not so much!

How did you relax this week?

I have a nikon, but I actually like my 55-200mm better for flower shots. Though that's probably more a factor of my having to shoot on the run w/ kids and not the fault of the 50mm that I have. Lovely shots! Isn't this weather fantastic---so jealous that you've got three whole weeks together. awesome!
