Heirloom

This is our heirloom apple tree. I haven't tasted one yet, but SOB did and he said they were yummy. The realtor told us they were crab apples, but our neighbors gave us the skinny on them. Apparently, if we share, they'll make us apple jelly!

I'm slowly but surely getting back into real life. I'm (mostly) caught up with everything in my google reader. Most of the boxes are unpacked. Most of the furniture is in place. Most of the things that need to be purchased have been acquired. Most of my head has stopped spinning.

SOB leaves this afternoon for a two week stint back in Atlanta, where he will resume the inflatable life. It'll just be me, Allison and the kiddos until October 3rd. I will miss him terribly. Our new bed is coming this week, and I'm a little sad that I'll have to sleep on it alone for a while. But once he comes back, he has 5 days off and we can paint and frolic and hang pictures hooray!

And? For the last two nights, Lucy has only gotten up once between 11pm and 7am. Is she not the world's greatest baby?

Nice picture. I like the way you got the apple as it's turning.

Typical men; drop you in a new house with new baby and piss off for a week! Huh! Still, he'll be missing out too. Thank goodness for the SSIL eh???
