I was unpacking Lucy's school bag yesterday when I came across this drawing:
Awwww! I thought to myself! She loves me again. And she's been so excited about being six that she had to include that little fact in her love note. It was folded like a card, so I opened it expecting some more about how much she loves her mother. Sadly for me, that was not the case. Observe:
Translation: Dear Jon, Your heart is for love as a heart as I'm heart.
And then the lovely illustration of the two young sweethearts. I asked her why she brought this home instead of giving it to this Jon character. 'Well,' she explained, 'I found out at recess that his name is actually Jack.'
